Our Christmas giving ’21

At Christmas, gifts are exchanged to remind us of God’s gift to us of Jesus Christ. We invite you to consider making a gift to those in need in one of these ways:

Firstly, by preparing a gift for those we serve each Sunday in Prince Alfred Park. Please Click here to select the type of gift you wish to give and follow the suggestions below for the gift.

Our park friends are marginalised – some in public housing, some couch surfing or similar, and some are on the street. Our gifts to them need not be extravagant, but they also shouldn’t be our discards. Perhaps think of what you might like in those circumstances. In giving a present of up to $40, suggestions are to put in one or two of the items from each category listed below. Please include no ‘sized’ clothing this year, and no chocolate or anything that could melt in a hot car. You may choose to put your gift in a small backpack as part of the present, or just in a gift bag (do not wrap). Please leave gift bags unsealed so the items can be checked.

  • Drink bottle, or a small bottle or can of a nice (non-alcoholic) drink
  • Small toiletries such as cologne or body spray for men; perfume for women; hand/face wipes; sunscreen; hand cream
  • A small puzzle book with pen; a pack of cards; or a small reading book. (Note, a small Christian tract will be included with the bags)
  • Some treats (not chocolate)
  • socks

PLEASE BRING YOUR GIFTS IN A BACKPACK OR OPEN GIFT BAG TO THE CHURCH BY SUNDAY 12 DECEMBER

Thank you

Secondly, by making a donation to Baptist World Aid’s Christmas Appeal. Your tax-deductible donation can be made here: https://baptistworldaid.org.au/appeals/nsw-parramatta/
