In this season of Lent, we reflect on the passages in the Gospel of Luke where Jesus speaks to his disciples about his death. Each passage makes it clear that the cross was chosen by Jesus. Each passage also reveals an aspect of Jesus’ authority and divinity, which makes the path that he chooses to walk even more significant in its meaning.
