Reconciled with God

Ben commences our new sermon series Reconciliation.

Scripture References: 2 Corinthians 5:16-21

From Series: "Reconciliation"

"Reconciled" is a beautiful and powerful word, describing the restoring of a relationship previously broken. Paul, in his letters to the churches, uses this word often when writing of what Jesus Christ accomplished at the cross. We are reconciled to God through the work of Jesus. At the cross, Jesus took upon himself our sin and in exchange, we received his righteousness. And we are also reconciled to one another. The old divisions between Jew and Gentile, male and female, slave and free are done away with - we are all one in Christ Jesus. May the Holy Spirit, through the word of God, encourage us to live in such a way that reflects and testifies to the reconciling work of our Lord and Saviour.
