Care for the homeless

Every Sunday we share lunch in Prince Alfred Park in Parramatta with those who are marginalised, experiencing homelessness or struggling to make ends meet. Our fabulous team of volunteers serve with the desire that those who come will experience unconditional respect, love and care in the name of Jesus, and this sometimes gives us the opportunity to pray for and talk with them.

Love in action

At PBC we have a team who work together to provide people needing assistance with food hampers, home-made meals, transport, or help with domestic duties.

How prayer works at PBC

We believe that God has called PBC to be a healing community where lives and situations get transformed by Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. You are welcome to email us (admin@parramattabaptist.com) a prayer request for matters involving health, employment or other difficult situations that need God’s intervention. There is a large network of people who cover these requests in prayer.

You are also welcome to contact us for a prayer appointment where two to three of the prayer team will meet with you. Whether you are seeking healing, freedom, blessing or breakthrough, we would love to pray with you.

Counselling

Cottage Counselling

The heartbeat of The Cottage Counselling Centre is to provide quality professional counselling to anybody seeking support and restoration. It began with a small group of Christian counsellors in one location wanting to provide a counselling service that included people who could not afford it. In the last 25 years it has grown into 16 professional counsellors, psychologists and social workers, in 7 different locations (including here at Parramatta Baptist Church). Many of those counsellors have been working in the field for over 20 years. Over the years we have worked with a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, domestic violence and relationships, the work is as varied as the people who come through the door. We provide a safe place to unpack whatever it is you are dealing with, knowing the practitioner is a committed Christian.

Childcare

Integricare operate a long day care centre from our Kleins Road site that aims to provide quality childcare. PBC comes alongside families, staff and children to share the love of Jesus.
