Our Story  

Parramatta Baptist Church has a long history that dates back to 1851. For over 160 years, through the highs and lows of church life and a rapidly changing area, we have continued to steadfastly believe that God has called us to serve, reach and bless the Parramatta region in the name of Jesus.

In 1982 we relocated to our current site in Northmead with a strong desire to be a blessing to this surrounding neighbourhood. Over time this move has brought renewal, growth, building programs and the space to offer new programs and services.

Today we have grown into a multi-generational contemporary church family of 550 who gather over three Sunday services and who meet throughout the week in various small groups, programs and ministries. We are so grateful for what God has, and is doing among us and through us. We genuinely love being family and following Jesus together. We are also very excited for our church planting team who are currently planting back into the heart of Parramatta city.

From here we desire to continue growing towards 1,000 regular worshippers made up of different ages and cultures, meeting across multiple congregations and locations.
