Reuben continues our sermon series on the Sermon on the Mount. The sermon is a call by Jesus to follow him as King.

This preaching series is on the Sermon on the Mount. The sermon is a call by Jesus to follow him as King. A life of following Jesus is a life at odds with the secular culture in which we live. And at times, Jesus' call can also feel at odds with the "Christian culture" we have developed. As Pete Greig (24/7 Prayer) writes, "Anyone who says that it is easy to follow Jesus is a liar." The path that we are called to walk is marked by trust, hope, self-giving love and genuine connection into a faith community. This is not easy. But it is the only path that leads to life.
